Deborah Kerr (natural September 30, 1921) is a Scottish film actress.

Biography

She was natural Deborah Jane Kerr-Trimmer within Helensburgh, Scotland, and originally trained as a ballet dancer, first appearing in stage at Sadler's Wells in 1938. Getting switched careers, she obtained quick profits as an actress.

Her debut in the British film, Contraband, in 1940 was left on the cutting room floor. However that was followed by the series of more films & it was her role as a turbulent nun within Michael Powell's Black Narcissus in 1947 which brought her to the attention of Hollywood producers.

Although a Scottish pronunciation of her last name is actually prefer "care", while she wwhen existence promoted when Hollywood actress, her family name was pronounced a equivalent as "car".
